Design Process

Simply bring in your ideas, magazine cut-outs, sketches and your thoughts and we will transform them to a design with respect to your site and budget.
Our initial ‘Concept Design’ stage allows you to meet one on one with our Architect to discuss your own ideas towards your new home. At this initial meeting we discuss budgets and general site details. We listen to you and absorb your ideas towards how you would like to have your home designed. Importantly this process also allows our Architect to portray his own professional advice towards the project. Once we present you with a concept our procedure will be to again meet with you to discuss the level of finishes you anticipate for the design in regard to internal fittings, floor coverings and external claddings, etc. Once we ascertain this information we are able to produce an estimate of the building costs. We can also repoduce a detailed 3D computer image of the home to show you exactly what your new home will look like once it is built.
The next stage is our ‘Design Development’ stage. This process starts with the Architect and the builder resolving certain design and construction aspects of the home. Soil reports, site levels and all other relevant site information is recorded at this stage. We then complete the working drawings and the engineering design. Our Architect oversees the whole drafting process in order to ensure his design is correctly portrayed to both his, and the clients wishes. At this stage we ensure the home receives a minimum five star energy rating. We guide you through the process of choosing materials and colours, fittings, fixtures and various floor coverings. We also provide detailed electrical plans showing the positions and types of light points and power points. This information is compiled into a highly detailed list of specifications which encompasses all aspects of the design. We then purchase the relevant warrantee insurance for the home in order to sign a building contract.
